Todd took over a thousand (possibly over two thousand?) pictures in the first two months of Nick's life. This is a good thing a) because now we have a ton of pics of Nick to look back on, and b) the camera cost half of a month's mortgage, so we best be gettin' our money's worth! The pictures have all since been loaded on to our computer, but we have yet to do anything further with them. SO...I've decided to have a daily (or weekly, depending how much posting time I have that week) post called "Nick's Pic's" in which I'll share a few of the fabulous photos Todd captured. Unfortunately, the pictures are all on our upstairs computer, which means I have to email them to myself, and well...every time I sit down to pick out a few to email to myself, I get sucked in looking at them for hours, end up picking far too many to send myself, exceeding the file limit, and then running out of time and having to postpone my picture sending for another day. SO, to remedy that for today, here is a sweet picture of my favorite one-and-three-quarters-foot-tall and oh-so-chubby-I-could-eat-those-cheeks boy on his way to daycare on this Friday morning.
(Don't worry, our expensive camera takes awesome pictures...this one is poor quality because it was taken on my iPhone, under the semi-dark cover of Nick's car seat)
As soon as I got home from dropping him off at daycare, I sent my mom & dad this picture, with this note attached:
Subject: Smile!
There are few things more rewarding in life than the first time your baby responds to your smiling, with a smile. Up until now his smiles have been sporadic and coincidental. Best Friday morning ever. :)
All morning Nick was saying "Ahh goo!" over and over in his breathy, squeaky little newborn voice. So I started mimicking him with a huge smile saying "Ahh gooo!" over and over. And sure enough, he would break into smiles and small giggles each time. It truly was the most rewarding experience of my life to date. I can't wait to watch him hit more milestones throughout life!
