Yesterday when I picked Nick up from daycare, his eye was red and a little teary/pussy. I immediately called the doctor and took him in for a diagnosis. We kept our fingers crossed that it was just allergies, but sure enough, the doctor said it was probably pink eye.
"Pink eye?! oh no!"

We got a prescription for eye ointment, and today I'm at home with Nick all day. Naturally I'm loving being with him. And of course, you'd never be able to tell he didn't feel well, if it weren't for the goop on his eye.
See the shiny eye?

Otherwise, he's been laying in his baby gym, talking to his toys and cooing and smiling all morning. Clearly he has his mom's pain tolerance :).
Proof that I'm a happy guy :)

His eye already looks better after only two applications of the ointment...and he can return to daycare tomorrow. But I'm secretly thinking about poking him in the eye a little so it stays red...just so I can have another day at home with him tomorrow.
Just kidding! I would never do that!

Poke him! Poke him!
Poor little guy =( I'm glad the ointment worked so well, but too bad you can't stay home another day!
I think you wrote something about tummy time in your last post? I meant to tell you that doing tummy time on you works just as well. So lay him on your chest and let him lift his head to see your face. He might like that. Also, it works to just hold him on his tummy too and let him look around at the world. We always gave Sofia some real tummy time, but it was more of the other stuff that we did most often.
See you Saturday!!
Yay! My first comment on your blog officially as a "follower". We want an update as to how he is doing now. Love you both!
