Yes, I just typed our wedding date into an online date "countdown" timer and found out there are 278 days and just under 8 hours to go until we get married! I wish I was good enough at math to have figured that out without using the help of the internet, but alas, that is why I am marrying Todd. He's good at math. Oh, did I mention he can cook too? And he has blue eyes and cute dimples. It's a good thing I'm marrying him, considering how smitten I apparently am ;).
With all that time left, and all the planning still left to be done, you'd think I'd have a ton of blog updates. But as of today...Monday, 20 October (just think on Friday it will be EXACTLY 9 months until our wedding...enough time to have a baby! ha, I'm pretty sure my dad would have a fit if that happened...no worries dad!!) anyway, as of today, the wedding planning pot has ceased boiling over and slowed to a simmer. I thought of that analogy all by myself. Score one for the bride. Not that it has stopped all together, don't get me wrong...there is PLENTY left to do...but we took the weekend off and enjoyed some good sports (ok, maybe they weren't so good seeing as only 1 of the 4 teams we watched this weekend won) and took a little time off from the hustle-bustle of planning.
However, I did go to DSW on Sunday with the agenda of looking at wedding shoes...and walked out with a pair of adorable 1/2 priced black Coach wedges (SERIOUSLY, when do you EVER find Coach ANYTHING for half price?!?) and no prospective wedding shoes. At least not at DSW anyway. I found a pair online that I love, but Mom suggested that I might like to try them on, considering I will be wearing them during only the most important ceremony in my whole life to date. So I am taking her advice -- because let's face it, it's darn good advice -- and I'm hoping that next weekend while Todd is visiting The Big House (not jail -- he's going to Ann Arbor) mom and I can go shopping for some fabulous wedding shoes. Which reminds me...my dress is supposed to be ready for pick up at the end of the month.
So I send my apologies for a fairly colorless (or uninteresting if you will) blog post. I promise things will pick up once we schedule the cake tasting. I love cake like...well...a fat kid loves cake! I seriously hope it's chocolate...
