I think we've kind of come to a planning lull...which makes me a teeny bit nervous because I have 75 different wedding check-lists from 75 different resources (magazines, friends, family, homeless people on the street...) that say during this time period of 6-8 months prior to the wedding we should be doing x, y, and z in terms of preparation. Currently x, y, and z for us consists of x) talking about sending out the save the dates, y) thinking about sending out the save the dates, and z) smiling at each other. (I like that one) :)
Don't get me wrong, we are ferociously [read: kind of] trying to gather addresses to get the save the dates sent out ASAP. I say ferociously [read: kind of] trying because Todd has been ferociously trying and I have been kind of thinking about trying to get addresses together. He's on his game...I need a little push. Or swift kick in the pants.
But, other than save the date stuff, we haven't really done much of the three crucial P's -- planning/prepping/preparing -- lately. My adorable mom/wedding coordinator (much to her chagrin, she gets that title no matter what) keeps me on my toes reminding me that we have linens to pick out and invites to design...cakes to taste and wedding favors to buy...but I guess it's that little procrastinator in me that's yelling "wait! you've got time! don't worry about it! no need to rush!" but then again, it feels like just yesterday I was wearing tank-tops and flip flops, and now I'm trudging to work in my knee length wool coat and fuzzy uggs...time actually, truly does fly by...we'll be married sooner than I can say "honeymoon destination resort vacation, here we come". And I can NOT wait to be married to Todd, saying "Life, here we come!" :)
